Brenda Bertrand understands the emerging leader and the 21st century woman. She has invested over a decade in active engagement, research and personal experience to keep an attentive ear to what this generation wants for their future and the complex challenges they face in leadership and life.

Brenda honed her leadership skills in a well rounded career in the worlds of media, higher education, international missions, and fast-track politics in the nation’s capital.

Most recently, Brenda was appointed by the White House to serve a political appointment in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C. Other career highlights include work as a television news anchor, global expedition director with Teen Mania, and dean of women at a leadership academy. These experiences have given her insight into the pervasive leadership vacuum in the marketplace and the skills needed to thrive in high demand and influential environments.

A gifted speaker and personal coach, audiences nationwide have experienced Brenda’s energetic and down-to-earth trademark style at notable universities including the U.S. Air Force Academy, Howard University, Towson University, Grambling State University, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Taylor University, the Leadership Institute and the Honor Academy. She is also the host of Blaze!, an annual youth rally held in the Caribbean. Brenda has traveled to 30 countries and easily connects with multi-cultural audiences.

Currently, Brenda maintains an active speaking schedule and is an independent consultant for Franklin Covey. She keeps a pulse on college students by mentoring women at universities nationwide, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Regent University.

Born and raised in America’s paradise, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Brenda ventured to the U.S. mainland to pursue both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in communication studies. She resides in the nation's capital.
